Job Overview:
As an L&D Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the well-being of both mother and baby, utilizing your expertise in maternal and neonatal care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery and be passionate about delivering compassionate and evidence-based care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess the health of pregnant women during labor.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and provide immediate interventions when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for both mother and baby.
- Educate and support expectant mothers in their birthing experience.
- Assist with cesarean sections and other medical procedures as needed.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during the birthing process.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in maternal and neonatal care.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in maternal and neonatal care.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00 – $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
