Keeping It Balanced is seeking both beginner and experienced tax professionals who are eager to start, grow, or simply increase their income. Join Keeping It Balanced as an Independent Contractor and build your own tax preparation business, with the potential to earn up to $800 per hour. This flexible, commission-based opportunity allows you to work from anywhere on your own terms.
Please Note:
We do NOT provide clients. You will be responsible for obtaining and managing your own clientele. However, we offer extensive training on how to gain, manage, and grow your client base while building a successful tax preparation business if that is what you desire.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Review financial records and documentation provided by clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information for tax preparation.
- Provide guidance on tax-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to filed tax returns.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using tax preparation software and tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in tax preparation or accounting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to acquire or bring your own clientele.
