POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Operator’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the parts being produced meet customer requirements while adhering to company policies and procedures. However, there may be times when the assembly operators will be required to perform other duties as requested through management or his/her supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Operate assembly machine/equipment following operator procedures

· Visually Inspect, trim, assemble and package parts

· Read and sign One Point Lessons (if applicable)

· Keep track of hourly production and scrap

· Scan to pack (if applicable)

· Correct application of all internal and external labels when required, including removal of all old labels from returnable packaging.

· Attention to detail

· Teamwork and communication skills

· If non- conforming parts occur, contact supervisor immediately.

· Keep work area clean and organized

· Follow all safety and company policies and procedures

· Responsibilities include all listed above, but are not limited only to those listed above

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plastic Injection Molding background is helpful.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires that the employee be able to move and transport plastic parts that generally do not exceed 10 pounds, without requiring assistance such as a dolly, forklift, or another team member. This position also includes frequent and prolonged periods of standing/walking, pushing /pulling or moving/lifting supplies. This position experiences frequent/occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, repetitive motion and gripping. Must comply with all safety requirements including use of the personal protection equipment required for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 – $17.50 per hour
