The part-time Substance Abuse IOP Group Facilitator provides counseling services, treatment planning, ASAM review & group counseling for a morning IOP program Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or evening IOP program Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,

Responsibilities Include:

  • Completes documentation in a timely manner
  • Leads IOP groups for clients attending a New Bern, NC clinic location
  • Provides group and individual counseling and completes all documentation accordingly
  • Establishes and maintains knowledge regarding documentation with the electronic medical records system: KIPU
  • Establishes treatment plans and determines appropriate length of stay based on clinical needs of client
  • Provides clinically appropriate referrals for ongoing care when necessary or at time of discharge
  • Completes all aftercare planning request forms and documentation in a timely manner
  • Collects and prepares data as requested by the clinical director
  • Facilitates group counseling in accordance with the established clinical program
  • Maintains and obtains all appropriate credentials regarding substance abuse counseling and mental health licensure
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of ASAM placement criteria
  • Collaborates with nurse practitioner or PA-C, and medical assistant to ensure comprehensive care is provided to clients

Minimum Requirements Include:

  • Minimum licensure requirement: QP, CADC, LCSW-A, LCAS-A, LCMHC-A
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other personnel
  • Clinical knowledge pertaining to substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, as well as trauma specific populations

Ability to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and run groups from 8:30-11:30am during those days of the week or 5:30-8:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $21.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: Flexible, between 10 and 25 hours per week
