POSITION: Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Services

DESCRIPTION:

Position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all Substance Abuse Clinical services offered to adult clients. This position is responsible for staff training and supervision of clinical issues as well as overall counselor supervision in the program and group setting. This position is responsible for overall clinical case management of clients, to include medical, counseling, educational, vocational, and recreational services. This position will require on call services as needed. Duties include but are not limited to diagnostic initial assessment, prior authorizations, intakes, re-assessments, implementing treatment plans, conducting individual and family counseling, reviewing quarterly reports, discharge summaries and re-evaluating clients’ needs for continued stay. In addition, clinician responsible for the overall S.A. case management of clients in the group settings and will maintain a client caseload of 1 to 10 clients. This position is responsible for facilitating, (psycho educational, Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Life Skills, Family and Parenting) Groups. This position will act as a liaison between clients, referring agencies and other communities based organizations providing crisis intervention as needed. Advocating for the clients, whenever necessary experience with family systems, juvenile courts, crisis intervention, and parenting skills helpful. A cell phone, home telephone and a DMV license is required

TASKS:

Provides assessment, short-term treatment, and case management to client caseload.

Provides clients with consulting and additional referrals to community resources.

Provides crisis intervention.

Participates in emergency on-call.

Maintains confidential client records and statistical data on caseload.

Keeps current with knowledge, availability, and quality of community resources and individual profession trends.

Maintains license and/or certification.

Provides consultation to supervisor/directors; performs other duties as assigned.

Provide clinical supervision to staff in the setting for groups and other programs as required by licensure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

A Master’s degree; supplemented with two (1) year of successful clinical work experience with children, young adults and older in the field of institutional management, social work, education or other allied discipline. Registration with the Virginia State Licensing board required. 12 VAC 35-105-420.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
