Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in supporting our restaurant’s mission to deliver exceptional dining experiences through excellent food service.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food production.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
