Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with the ability to work on both high and low voltage projects. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and working effectively on construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs meet safety standards and comply with local codes.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform electrical tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters and logic controllers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become serious problems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes made during the project.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as a commercial electrician.
- Proven experience in blueprint reading and understanding electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in the electrical trade.
- Familiarity with both high voltage and low voltage electrical systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Pay: $12.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 50 per week
