Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant care and landscape maintenance, with a focus on creating and maintaining beautiful gardens and green spaces. This role requires hands-on experience with various horticultural practices. groundskeeping, and the use of power and hand tools. The Horticulturist will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our landscapes while ensuring the health and vitality of all plant life.
Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain landscape plans that enhance the beauty of gardens and outdoor spaces.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for planting, pruning, weeding, and irrigation.
- Monitor plant health by inspecting for diseases or pests and applying appropriate treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal planting schedules and garden layouts.
- Educate clients or team members on proper plant care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, growth requirements, and pest management strategies.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques and groundskeeping best practices.
- Proficiency in using power tools (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers) and hand tools (e.g., shovels, pruners).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating beautiful landscapes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients or team members.
- A degree or certification in horticulture or a related field is a plus but not required.

Pay: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
