NEPSI is currently seeking one (1) Field Service Engineer
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
- Serve customers by providing product installation, commissioning, maintenance, service, and instructions, primarily on-site
- Resolve product and service problems which require an on-site presence
- Start-up, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of Northeast Power Systems products, such as capacitor banks and filter banks, MVTVSS, snubbers, and MSP’s.
- Ensure Northeast Power Systems products comply with, and are installed according to final build documentation, customer requirements and specifications.
- Maintain records by ensuring updating of product drawings, setup information and account information to reflect any changes made in the field.
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s issues; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution, verify and document corrective action.
- Make prudent decisions regarding travel expenditure, respecting both Northeast Power and customer travel expense budgets.
- Follow all customer safety and site requirements. Act in a professional manner at all times.
- Document and report all customer complaints, errors, issues, recommendations, and suggestions to management.
- Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services available.
- Ability to oversee and perform trend analysis of the field service database.
- Maintain inventory levels of parts.
- Schedule routine maintenance with customer.
- Schedule startup/commissioning activities to maintain product delivery commitments.
- Follow company purchasing authorization procedures
- Other duties assigned.
Education – Experience:
- Electronics experience required.
- Background in electrical control circuit design and operation, 3 years’ experience.
- Familiar with lockout / tag-out procedures.
- Computer knowledge in a Windows environment. Engineering degree in a technical field. Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Background in electrical control circuit design and operation, 2-3 years’ experience.

- Knowledge of high voltage distribution design and systems including established safety protocol and procedures.
- Understanding and accurately following blueprints, electrical drawings and set up documents.
- Must have valid passport and driver’s license.
Must have no felony convictions. Medium work with occasional heavy work up to 75 pounds. US Citizen

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
