Experience in fire alarm installation and maintenance is a huge plus!Note: this employer is felony-friendly for candidates with nonviolent backgrounds. Some charges, including arson, are not eligible for hire.What You Will Do
Train, supervise, and coordinate activities of fire alarm installation technicians
Plan and lay out wiring diagrams, conduit systems, and fire alarm component locations
Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures
Monitor the progress of projects to ensure they remain on time and within budget
Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose issues with fire alarm and suppression systems
Ensure all required materials and equipment are available for projects
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of modern electrical wiring systems
General knowledge of fire alarm systems
Reliable transportation
Attention to detail
Requirements and Qualifications
Required: proven experience as an electrician
Required: working knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
Required: ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
Strongly preferred: experience with fire alarm and suppression systems
Preferred: experience in a lead or supervisory role
Work Environment and DemandsThis job takes place primarily at new build construction sites. The noise level is typically moderate to loud.
