About the Role:
Documentation Compliance Support
- Conduct audits of client notes, case files, and documentation to ensure compliance with Medicaid standards.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of Biopsychosocial Assessments (BPS), service plans, and progress notes.
- Monitor adherence to ethical guidelines, confidentiality protocols, and documentation best practices.
Feedback and Collaboration
- Provide actionable feedback to Peer Coaches and Supervisors based on audit findings.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and the Compliance Auditor to address recurring documentation issues.
- Support training efforts by working with the Training Specialist to address gaps in documentation practices.
Administrative Functions
- Maintain detailed records of audit findings and trends.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring documentation readiness.
- Contribute to the development of systems that enhance documentation accuracy and efficiency.
Expected Outcomes:
- Immediate: Conduct timely audits to ensure compliance and provide constructive feedback.
- Short Term: Reduce documentation errors to under 5% through targeted corrections and feedback.

Must Have:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in documentation audits, clinical compliance, or a related field.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and audit tracking tools.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicaid, HIPAA, and state documentation regulations.
- Ethics: Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to professional standards.
Nice to Have:
- Credentials: Certification in clinical compliance or documentation (e.g., CHPC, CCDS).
- Experience: Prior work in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of Biopsychosocial Assessments, service plans, and Medicaid billing requirements.

- Location: Virtual (must be based in Colorado) or Onsite in Aurora
- Shifts: Flexible with weekday hours.
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Salary Range: $35,000 – $60,000/yr (based on experience)
