Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Cook/Dishwasher. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area. This is a vital position within our organization, as you will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and providing quality meals to our customers. Duties: – Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats – Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality of meals – Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and fryers – Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash – Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safe handling of food – Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of meal service – Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes Skills: – Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations in the food industry – Experience in food preparation and handling in a professional kitchen setting – Proficiency with knives and other culinary tools – Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment – Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area – Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
