CNC Machinist/Programmer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery (HAAS Mill 3 & 5 Axis, HAAS Lathe, 3k Watt Fiber Laser). This role will be responsible for evaluating drawings and models, performing CAM functions via Fusion 360, identifying needed tooling and materials. operating equipment to fabricate goods and ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, producing high-quality components that meet our specifications.

Duties

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines and other machining/shop equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining specifications.
  • Utilize programming skills to create and modify CNC programs for various machining tasks.
  • Perform inspections using bore gauges and other measuring tools to ensure precision and adherence to GD&T standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC machines, with knowledge of SolidWorks being a plus.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, including electrical discharge machining.
  • Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Willingness to support in other shop duties as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.01 – $29.83 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
