Job Summary
The Home Health Aide plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, while also demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including lifting clients as necessary.
  • Observe and report any changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding client care and progress.
  • Support clients with memory care needs through engaging activities and routines.
  • Collaborate with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working in the home environment.

Skills

  • Experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform patient observation effectively, identifying any significant changes in health or behavior.
  • Knowledge of home community care practices that promote independence for clients.
  • Familiarity with memory care techniques to support clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
  • Compassionate approach towards caregiving, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
