Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tower Technician apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate has to be comfortable with heights. We will climb cell towers from 50ft to 500ft tall towers. Understand how to use hand tools. Will be responsible for the insta llation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers and related equipment. The Tower Technician will work in various field environments, utilizing specialized equipment such as man baskets, bucket trucks and rigs to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment on towers.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of tower structures.
- Utilize voltmeters to test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Operate bucket trucks and other rigging equipment for elevated work.
- Collaborate with field service teams to complete projects on time and within safety standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working at heights or with high voltage systems.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Physically climb tower at extreme heights
- Understand how to use most common hand tools.
- Be able to carry 60lbs.
- Be able to be on the road for 6 weeks at a time. 1 week off.
- Must be younger then 30 yrs old
- Ability to operate rigs and bucket trucks safely in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Willingness to work in field environments.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license; additional certifications related to tower work are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $1,000.00 – $2,000.00 per week
