About the Journeyman Electrician Job
This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced electrician. The job will be located at a semiconductor facility in the Austin metro area. There are four levels of positions offered, based on your experience, certifications, and licenses. Your pay will be based on these criteria.
Required Experience
- Electrical installations: Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and control systems in commercial, and industrial settings
- System troubleshooting: diagnosis of electrical issues and malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters
- Blueprint interpretation: read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to plan and execute projects
- Code compliance: ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards
- Equipment maintenance: inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and panel boards to ensure proper functioning
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Safety procedures: follow strict safety protocols, including lockout / tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaboration: work with other professionals, including engineers and contractors, to complete projects on time and within budget
- Emergency repairs: respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems promptly
- Inventory management: maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for the job
- Training and mentorship: assist in training apprentices and junior electricians
- Documentation: complete work orders, logs, and reports detailing services performed and materials used
- Using mathematics: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to guide electrical work
- Communicating: demonstrating verbal and written communication abilities
- Working in a team: working well in a team environment
Other Qualifications
- Required: at least four years / 8,000 hours experience as an electrical contractor, or an apprentice or journeyman electrician, or completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program
- Required: Reliable transportation to and from your jobsite

About the Apprentice Electrician Job
This is a full-time, on-site role for an electrical apprentice. You will be based at a semiconductor facility in the Austin metro area. There are currently four levels of positions offered, depending upon experience in the electrical trades. Your salary will be based on your experience and other factors.
What You Will Do
- Assisting electricians: helping with diagnosing, repairing, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment
- Learning: Learning how to install and maintain electrical systems, as well as safety requirements and local and federal regulations
- Performing tasks: Working on electrical wiring, equipment calibration, and alignment adjustments
- Working with materials: Securing, organizing, and relocating materials, tools, and equipment
- Keeping work area clean: Collecting and disposing of excess materials, scrap, and refuse
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Working at heights: Working from ladders, scaƯolds, aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and cat walks
- Working in restricted areas: Working in crawl spaces, attics, utility tunnels, manholes, and
- electrical switchgear rooms
- Wearing PPE: Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, dust masks, and respirators
- Troubleshooting: Analyzing causes and eƯects to solve malfunctions
- Using math: Using math skills like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to guide electrical work
- Communicating: Demonstrating verbal and written communication abilities
- Working in a team: Working well in a team environment
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
