Position Overview:
The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the CEO or his or her designee and as the Company’s Board may require. The COO shall oversee the Company’s ongoing operations, production, and all other internal affairs. Manage and oversee day to day operations, HR, vendors, data, systems, and more as will be required from time to time. You will be responsible for the efficiency of business.

Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the Company’s Board, CEO and any other members of the senior management team (“Leadership Team”) in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
- Perform oversight function on all the operations of the company
- Report directly to the CEO on all matters of the company
- Oversee all internal affairs of the company, operations and employee productivity. Building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
- Partnering with CEO, oversee customer, vendor, employee and community engagement
- Manage and oversee all vendors, staffing, and timeline.
- Oversee all marketing, including social media, website, and events
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
- Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Leadership Team
- Ensure effective employee recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
- Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts
- Prepare monthly management report
- Manage expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves financial targets for growth and profitability
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
- Ensure compliance with national, state and local business mandates and regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
- Design and implement policies to sustain the company’s vision
- Maintain the company’s reputation and relationship with partners, clients, and stakeholders
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key vendors and build relationships
- Provide contingency plans
- Be a visionary for future growth of the organization and substantially assist in moving the needle for all future endeavors of the organization
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field OR relevant experience in a retail environment.
- Proven experience in retail operations management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and Mobility: requires the ability to stand for extended periods and move around the dispensary, including walking, climbing stairs, and sweeping/cleaning.
Travel: Occasional travel may be necessary for industry events, meetings with suppliers, or visits to other dispensary locations.
- Lifting and Carrying: may be required to lift and carry boxes of inventory or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs, occasionally.
- Manual Dexterity: involves tasks that require fine motor skills and manual dexterity, such as handling cash and small items, using a computer, and operating dispensary equipment.
- Visual and Auditory Acuity: must have sufficient vision and hearing capabilities to interact with staff, customers, and regulatory authorities. This includes reading labels, monitoring security cameras, and communicating effectively.
- Sensory Perception: must be able to assess the quality, appearance, and smell of cannabis products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Hours: This role requires weekend and after-hours work.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be necessary for industry events, meetings with suppliers, or visits to other dispensary locations.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
